Public lecture by prof. S. Ting: The Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer on the ISS

AMS is a $2 billion experiment measuring cosmic rays on the International Space Station since 2011. In more then ten years in space, it has collected 227 billion particles, revolutionizing cosmic particle understanding.
The head of AMS, Professor Samuel Ting will discuss how the results provide a ground breaking insights about the cosmos.
Professor Samuel Ting is a world renewed physicist who won the Nobel Prize in 1976 for discovering of the charm quark. This scientific endeavor, referred to as the "November Revolution," catalyzed a cascade of subsequent discoveries. Currently, Professor Ting leads AMS. His work continues to inspire and transform our understanding of the universe's mysteries.
