Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) Hybrid Information Session

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) coordinates and promotes opportunities for undergraduate students across ALL DISCIPLINES and at ALL LEVELS OF RESEARCH OR CREATIVE WORK EXPERIENCE at UH 惭腻苍辞补 to engage in faculty-mentored research and creative work.

UROP is hosting two hybrid information sessions (in-person and via Zoom) on UROP funding opportunities and programs that all students, staff, and faculty on campus are encouraged to attend.

General Information Session:

  • Topic: An overview of UROP鈥檚 various programs and funding opportunities
  • Intended Audience: Students, faculty and staff interested in learning more about UROP鈥檚 various funding opportunities and resources
  • Date: Wednesday, November 8, 2023
  • Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
  • Location: Hybrid, Moore Hall 104 and Zoom

Workshop Information Session:

  • Topic: A deep dive (including tips for submitting a successful UROP application) into two of UROP鈥檚 primary funding opportunities, the Entering Research and Creative Work (ERC) funding (for students early in their academic career interested in exploring research/creative work, with little to no prior experience) and Project funding (for students at any stage of their academic program who are ready to propose their own faculty mentored research or creative work project)
  • Intended Audience: Undergraduate students interested in applying for ERC and/or Project Funding; Faculty interested in mentoring ERC or Project funding students
  • Date: Thursday, November 9, 2023
  • Time: 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm
  • Location: Hybrid, Moore Hall 104 and Zoom
