The mission of 芒鈧淚ke Wai is to ensure Hawai芒鈧渋芒鈧劉s future water security through the integration of research, education, and the engagement of community to develop a decision support system that improves water policy, planning, and stewardship for the State. Researchers, educators and students from UH Manoa and UH Hilo will conduct hydrological research with state agency partners to assess the current status, and predict future scenarios, for water availability in Hawai芒鈧渋. The project will leverage historical and traditional knowledge about water in Hawai芒鈧渋 to inform research, policy, and resource management and will provide educational and training opportunities for the next generation of water resource professionals and policy makers.
