Spring Korean Film Series: Y脜聫ng-ja's Heydays

The spring 2016 Korean film series, "Divided Images," continues with Kim Ho-sun's 1976 film Y脜聫ng-ja's Heydays. Synopsis: After being discharged from the army, Chang-su, a body scrubber at a public bath, happens to meet Y脜聫ng-ja at a police station. Three years earlier, when he was an ironworker, he had fallen in love with Y脜聫ng-ja, then a housemaid for a rich family. After being raped by her employer芒鈧劉s son during Chang-su芒鈧劉s military service, she works as a barmaid but quits because she can芒鈧劉t adapt to the job. Then she works as a bus conductor, but loses an arm in an accident and ultimately becomes a prostitute. Chang-su devotes himself to taking care of her, but Y脜聫ng-ja leaves him for his future.
