Howard McGinnis is an O`ahu beekeeper who manages beehives from Kahala to Waianae. The honey he produces is sold in farmer芒鈧劉s markets on O`ahu. Howard will share his experiences, and provide some background on the state of bees and beekeeping, and bee pests and parasites in Hawai`i. You芒鈧劉ll get an update on the current state of bees on the mainland and some advice on beekeeping equipment for Hawai`i beekeepers. He will also discuss some of the 芒鈧搖ncredited pollinators芒鈧 in Hawai`i. This class is co-sponsored by The Garden Club of Honolulu, one of the 芒鈧揝tepping Stones to Good Gardening芒鈧 classes offered at Lyon Arboretum. $15. Registration required.
