Creating Data Management and Sharing Plans: Navigating NIH Funding Requirement
December 7, 12:00pm - 1:15pmMānoa Campus, Kuykendall 106 Events Room
As of 2023, all grants through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) now require the inclusion of a Data Management and Sharing (DMS) plan. This workshop will review the basics of what is required in a DMS plan, and teach researchers how to use the open source DMPTool online application to help create DMS plans that comply with these requirements. The NIH requirements will be discussed specifically, but DMS plans are becoming widely expected for many other funding organizations, such as the NSF, and the content will be broadly useful to any researcher seeking future funding.
