No Place to Call Home
February 21, 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Honolulu Campus, Building 7, 1st Floor
The United Nations says more than 2 million refugees have arrived in Europe in the past few years, fleeing war, ethnic violence or poverty. Honolulu Asst. Professor of Journalism Mike Leidemann recently spent a month helping some of them in a refugee camp in Northern Greece. He will discuss this global crisis, the work he did there and what's being done -- and not being done -- to help them.
