All over the world, organizations are using GIS to manage the environment, work more efficiently, provide better customer service, and save money. GIS is becoming an integral part of many organizations technology infrastructure.
This course uses Web-based materials and in-class exercises to introduce the fundamental concepts of GIS and the major functionality contained in ArcGIS software from ESRI. You will work with a variety of ArcGIS tools as you learn to create maps, find information, create and edit geographic data, and solve a variety of geographic problems.
