In "Insovereignty and Cinema," Fred Moten will begin by imagining that we are or have been living in what might be called the pre-history of the post-cinematic. One way to think about this is that what is, or used to be, called “third cinema,” broadly conceived, has been the privileged site for this untimely formation.
