Czechoslovakia and North Korea from World War II to the Sino-Soviet Split

Jaroslav Ol脜隆a, Jr., former ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Korea and now ambassador to the Philippines, will trace the development of relations between North Korea and Czechoslovakia from the beginning contacts in the 1940s through the 1980s. Since entering the Czech diplomatic service in 1992, Ol脜隆a has held a variety of positions, with extensive experience in Africa and the Middle East before becoming ambassador to the Republic of Korea (2008芒鈧2014) and, more recently, to the Philippines. He is also the author of books and articles on the history, culture, and literature of Asia and Africa as well as science fiction.
