Something芒鈧劉s Stinky in Kaka芒鈧渁ko: Infrastructure in an Age of Climate Change

is a free workshop series open to the public to learn about the development issues in Kaka芒鈧渁ko and to engage in innovative placemaking ideas for Kaka芒鈧渁ko芒鈧劉s future.

This 6-week series of public workshops is intended to create a space for information sharing, dialogue and connection. We welcome everyone who is interested in Kaka芒鈧劉ako to learn about the challenges and possibilities in these changing neighborhoods in our urban core. User-friendly planning ideas and tools will be shared to help us explore our kuleana as stewards of its future.

The 6-week 芒鈧揷ourse芒鈧 is a series of public workshops to be held on 6 consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. from October 13 until November 17, 2015. Each workshop includes presentations by experts in the field as well as interactive discussions and activities.

October 20: Something芒鈧劉s Stinky in Kaka芒鈧渁ko: Infrastructure in the Age of Climate Change
From sewer systems to storm drains, let芒鈧劉s lift the manhole covers and peer at the hidden systems that are critical to human and environmental health.

All sessions will be held at the Hawai芒鈧渋 Community Development Authority community room, American Brewery building at 547 Queen St.

The Department of Urban and Regional Planning will be giving a certificate of completion to those who attend four or more workshops in the educational series.
