Storytelling through Place
Join John "Prime" Hina and the youth of 808 Urban for a mural walking tour in Kaka'ako and presentation of ongoing projects to "tell stories on a wall". Talk story with kumu on mo'olelo of place and UH Manoa professor John Rosa on the history of murals in Hawaii and collaborate on a group storytelling project about your important places.
Since 2006, 808 Urban has created over 50 large-scale mural projects throughout Hawai芒鈧劉i, offered over a hundred free arts workshops and collaborated with dozens of local organizations and businesses. Join us for a celebration of this work with 808 Urban.
