Mālama ʻĀina seminar by UH Sea Grant faculty

Hula Grill Waikiki will host an educational presentation on sea-level rise and local beach restoration efforts as part of its ongoing Mālama ʻĀina series. On Thursday, July 18 all are invited to the restaurant to learn about the environmental issue and how organizations are working to lessen the impact. Led by Dolan Eversole, coastal geologist serving as the Waikīkī Beach Special Improvement District Association’s Waikīkī Beach management coordinator through the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program, the presentation will introduce the current impacts of sea-level rise and chronic beach erosion, the ongoing beach maintenance projects, and the planned sea-level rise adaptation and resilience efforts in Waikīkī.
