Dr. Joy Hendry discusses her REFLECTIONS ON A LIFETIME RELATIONSHIP WITH A JAPANESE VILLAGE. "In 2019 I was awarded a Daiwa-Anglo-Japanese Foundation grant to take back to the village in Kyushu the family trees and a huge village-wide relationship chart that I had collected during fieldwork there for nearly 45 years. My son and his partner joined me and made a film about the presentation, which invites explanations about the experience of doing anthropological fieldwork. I plan to show the film and then reflect on the long-term relationships formed there and the changes I was able to observe."
