Honua Scholars invites you to join us for the last STEMinar of the year! This event will be on Zoom at Nov 17th, 6pm HST. This event is open to everyone - teachers, students, and people interested in service. Our topic is “How Can I Help? Creating positive impact opportunities for a brighter future”. The aim of our event will be to investigate how to produce acts of service in our communities. After our featured speaker presents, we have allotted time for questions and further discussion. Our speaker, Manning S. Taite III, is extremely qualified to speak on service, especially in relation to STEM- he is the executive director and founder for NALU Studies, founder at Pacific Center for Environmental Studies (PaCES), a former STEM educator at Kamehameha Kapalama, Punahou, MBTA, and other schools, an education outreach coordinator in marine biotech at the Hawaii Institute for Marine Biology (HIMB), a director at Biosource Technologies Inc and Large Scale Biology Corp, and senior research science fair judge at HSSEF.
