Committee on Kuleana
Mandates
(Bylaws of Board of Regents, Article II, Section D)
This committee is responsible for recommending policy and exercising oversight over the mission goals, and programs of the university that promote the university's role in fulfilling kuleana to Native Hawaiians and to Hawai‘i including (a) the reconciliation of injustices, (b) the university's and its research enterprise's contribution to a robust Hawai‘i economy, (c) the achievement of the university's strategic imperatives and (d) the achievement of the university's stewardship objectives for Maunakea.
This committee is also the liaison between the board and the following affiliated organizations:
