A professor of accounting, Kathy Hill was the first in the accounting discipline to explore distance education. She is a pioneer at delivering accounting classes with the use of cable TV broadcasting supplemented with Internet learning activities.
Many students not enrolled in her classes use her cable class video tapes as a supplement to their traditional classes.
Teachers and students praise Hill for her clear and concise method of teaching, especially through cable.
The Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching is awarded by the as tribute to faculty members who exhibit an extraordinary level of subject mastery and scholarship, teaching effectiveness and creativity and personal values that benefit students.
